UDC Forum: Biomedical Engineering Program at The University of the District of Columbia

Dr. Lara Thompson is Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of the District of Columbia. A Ph.D. graduate of the Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology, a unique program from MIT and Harvard Medical School. The collaboration between these institutions nurtures the integration of science, medicine and engineering to solve problems in human health. Dr. Thompson also holds a M.S. in Aero/Astro Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She currently teaching and recruiting students for a Biomedical Engineering Program within the University of the District of Columbia School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
