Instructional Design and Technologies
Instructional design is the systematic process by which instruction is improved through the analysis of learning goals and the development of strategies to integrate, measure, and achieve those goals. It also involves considering how people learn and how to transfer knowledge using learning theories, models, and educational technologies that are engaging, learner-centered, and easy to navigate.
C.A.L. team members support UDC faculty/staff through a variety of instructional design methods—from articulating learning needs, scaffolding assignments, and developing methodologies for outcomes assessment to discussing which tools might work best for course delivery and hosted projects.
