I can't login to Blackboard?
To login to Blackboard, go to udc.blackboard.com
For Username: Enter ONLY the first part of your email address. Always remember NOT TO type @udc.edu
For Password: If this is the first time logging into Blackboard, please enter you N number. (N should be upper case)

How do I hide and unhide content?
You can hide/unhide a course content item from the student view. Click on the chevron for an item to edit that item. Scroll down to Options and choose Yes or No for the Permit Users to View this Content option. For more information read Editing and Managing Course Areas and Content.

How do I manage my course menu (hide/unhide, add tool links, content area links)?
Instructors can edit course menus. To edit the course menu first make sure you have Edit Mode turned on (found at the top right of your course page). In the course menu, click on the chevron next to an item to open the edit menu allowing you to hide/unhide, rename, and delete items. Add new menu items by clicking on the plus icon at the top of the menu or move menu items by dragging and dropping. For more information read Editing and Managing Course Areas and Content.

How do I set or remove release dates?
To edit a course item's release date, click the chevron to edit that item. Scroll to the Select Date and Time Restrictions section. Select a date and time of day to release your content. When you're finished click the Submit button. For more information, read Controlling the Release of Content.

How can I view the course as a student to troubleshoot?
In the upper-right of each course area, click Edit Mode to change from ON to OFF. When the Edit Mode is ON, all instructor functions are available. When Edit Mode is OFF, you see what students see

How much storage space does my Blackboard course have?
Each course in Blackboard is restricted to a size limitation of 100MB. You will automatically receive the error notification from Blackboard if your course has exceeded the allowed size limit and you will no longer be able to upload any additional items to your course.
These quotas are necessary to properly manage storage resources and ensure adequate system performance. To manage your course quota, please read Reduce Your Course Size (best practices). You can also reduce your course size by deleting content from the course files instead of deleting it from the content area. Click here for Quick Start Guide

I can't upload documents to my course site.
Your Blackboard course has probably exceeded the allowed size limit and you are no longer able to upload any documents. Each course in Blackboard is restricted to a size limitation of 100MB. How do I use the Blackboard 9.1  email tool?
Blackboard 9.1 has built-in email tool can be used to send messages to all your course participants (students, TAs, etc), course groups, or select individuals. Access your course's email tool by clicking on the Tools item in the course menu and clicking on Send Email on the following page. On the next page, choose which type of email you want to send. On the next page, select your recipients and type in your message. You can add an attachment, also, if needed. To send the message ,click the Submit button. A copy of the original message is automatically sent to the sender. For more information, read Email or watch How to Send an Email in Blackboard Learn.

How and where do I enter grades?
Grades can be entered into the Grade Center. In your course's Control Panel click on the Grade Center item to access the Grade Center page. For more information on the Grade Center, visit Grade Center. Please note that all grades entered into the Grade Center remain in your course – they are not automatically submitted to Banner. To submit grades into the university system you will need to enter them manually though Banner.

Why can't my students see their grades?
You control which Grade Center data is released to students and the timing of its release and whether or not to show specific grade columns to students. For more information, read Sharing Grade Center Data.

How do I export the Grade Center as a spreadsheet?
In your course's Control Panel, click on the Full Grade Center item. Then click on the Work Offline drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the Grade Center and select Download. You will be prompted to select what data you want to download and what file format. How do I access survey results?
Survey results can be found in the Grade Center. When an instance of a Survey is deployed in a course, a column is automatically created for it in the Grade Center. Click on the chevron at the top of the column to view options for displaying the survey results. For more information, read Test and Survey Results.

Students submitted assignments – where do I find them?
Assignments submitted by students are available for review via the Grade Center of your course. For more information on the Grade Center, visit Grade Center.

How do I archive or export my course?
When you archive or export your course it creates a downloadable package, which you may use to import into a new course. For more information, read Exporting and Archiving Courses. To export your course and import it into another course, please read Copying your Course via Export and Import.

How do I copy my course or move content from one course to another?
To copy your course you first need to export the source course content then import it into your destination course. Read Exporting and Importing Courses for step-by-step instructions. If you wish to move individual items from one course to another, please view the Copying and Moving an Item video or read Editing and Managing Course Areas and Content.

How do I request a course shell in the test site to develop my online or Hybrid course?
All new course shall have been developed in Blackboard 9.1 (Test site). Once the new course is approved by the peer reviewers, it will be moved to Blackboard 9.1 (Production site). To request a Blackboard course shell, you need to fill out the form, Request for Blackboard Course Shell.
