Deputy Chief of PoliceMr. Ronald A. Culmer III serves as the Deputy Chief of Police/Deputy Director of Public Safety a division of the Office of the Vice President for Real Estate, Facilities Management and Public Safety. In this role, Deputy Chief Culmer serves as the second in command assisting the Chief of Police manage the Law Enforcement, Public Safety and Emergency Management functions for the University of the District of Columbia. Deputy Chief Culmer has approximately 20 years of law enforcement and security experience encompassing government, higher education and private industry.

Deputy Chief Culmer has extensive training in Law Enforcement Supervision and Management, Incident Management Strategies, Crime Prevention and Law Enforcement Technology.

Deputy Chief Culmer serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Youth Organizations United to Rise (Y.O.U.R.); whose primary mission is to promote academic, cultural, social and emotional development; improve computer literacy, build self-esteem and strengthen leadership and confidence in the classroom.
