Yes, Bricks and Pavers are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. All gifts are made payable to the UDC Foundation, Inc., a 501©3 non-profit organization.
You are making a gift to the UDC Foundation, Inc. The bricks and pavers will belong to the University of the District of Columbia and remain in Founders’ Commons on the Van Ness Campus.
When you place your order, you will receive acknowledgment that includes a verification of the engraved text. If something is spelled or listed incorrectly, you will have an opportunity to correct it, in writing, before the engraving takes place.
You may pay in full by check or credit card, utilize monthly payments for a maximum of two years or through payroll deduction (for active current employees). Payments can be made on-line at www.udc.edu/bricks. If you choose to pay over a two year period, the amount paid within the calendar year is tax deductible.
These funds support University programs, students, operations and ten percent are contributed to the UDC Foundation Annual Fund.
There will be a Ribbon Cutting Event in the Spring, 2012 and the first set of bricks and pavers will be installed. Once sections have enough bricks and pavers to fill the corresponding area, they will be installed throughout the year.
All brick and paver order sales are final and orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Alumni or donors who want to make brick and paver donations as a group may contact Edna King at 202.274.5319 or email@example.com for inquiries. For group orders of 10 bricks or more, the bricks under the same group will be clustered and installed together . A free brick bearing the name of a group/class donating 30 bricks or more will be installed among its bricks as a token of our appreciation.
Due to the limited space for characters on each brick, please purchase one brick per person. There are convenient payment options by check, credit card, and payroll deduction (active UDC employees only) and payments may be made over a two-year period.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Delores Taylor, the wife of former UDC Administrartor, Dr. Alfred O. Taylor, and mother of Kenneth (Kenny) Maurice Taylor who preceded her in death, as she was called to her eternal resting home. Mrs. Taylor was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend to all.
Dr. and Mrs. Taylor, through foresight and philanthropy, established a living memorial to their son Kenny, whose love of gospel music was well known, by creating the Kenneth M. Taylor Memorial Scholarship at the University of the District of Columbia. The scholarship provides financial support to students seeking to share the Taylors’ passion for life and to inspire others of the beauty and wonder of music.
The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Kenneth M. Taylor Memorial Scholarship fund to preserve the memory of their son Kenny.
