UDC’s Women In History Event: Dynamic Women In CAUSES

Let’s celebrate Women’s History Month and share a space for women’s accomplishments throughout the years in today’s culture and society.

Women in History This virtual panel discussion highlighted female graduates from CAUSES who currently serve as service leaders within the community they serve. The event’s goal objective was to virtually showcase a diverse group of inspiring women who lead the way for change in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The audience engaged in a LIVE conversation with panelists who will share their influences, challenges, and successes, along with words of advice for women of today.

During this awareness event, the University acknowledged and honored the women of CAUSES impactful and influential contribution to the College, the community, and beyond.

The panel discussion included a Q&A component for interviewing.

1. What life experiences led to your aspirations to pursue your career goals/grassroots efforts?

2. How has your season as a student with academic achievements and outreach roles within UDC-CAUSES helped shape the type of leader you are and what you are doing right now?

3. What kind of adjustments have you had to rise to the occasion for in your work environment ever since the start of this COVID-19 pandemic?

4. What are some misconceptions about where we are as women at this point and what will it take to keep this momentum moving in the right direction?

5. What piece of advice would you give our current students aspiring to make valuable contributions in their chosen professions?
