Dr. Dorshka Wylie
Dr. Dorshka Wylie is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Division of Sciences and Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the District of Columbia. Dr. Wylie received both her B.S. and her Ph.D. in mathematics from MIT. Her specialty is set theory, and she has focused on infinitary combinatorics. Her research interests also include mathematics education, particularly the problems of teaching algebra, and getting students calculus-ready.
In her spare time, Dorshka Wylie enjoys fencing, bridge, science fiction, and playing the piano. In 1990, Dorshka was a member of the US national women’s epee team.
