Please join us on Wednesday, February 24, at 2:00 pm for the next presentation in the Chemistry Speaker Series, “Beyond the Bench”, featuring Dr. Brandi Toliver, Senior Academic Program Manager, International and Academic Affairs Office (IAAO), at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Dr. Toliver’s presentation is of importance to the entire UDC community, not just those studying chemistry. Dr. Brandi Toliver serves as the Senior Academic Program Manager in the International and Academic Affairs Office (IAAO) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) located in Gaithersburg, MD. In her role at NIST, Dr. Toliver manages the agency’s premier STEM intern program, the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program and the Professional Research Experience Program (PREP). Prior to her appointment at NIST, she worked on a think tank at the U.S. Army Special Operations Command and as a Research Chemist for the U.S. Air Force.  Dr. Toliver holds a B.S in chemistry from North Carolina State University, M.S. in chemistry from North Carolina Central University, and Ph.D. in Fiber and Polymer Science from North Carolina State University.

We hope you will join us for what will be an important and exciting program for students, faculty and alumni.  Please share with students across all academic disciplines. For more information, contact Dr. Xueqing Song  xsong@udc.edu or Ms. Jade Witter jade.witter@udc.edu.
