Project Seed CAMP imageProject SEED is a summer research program for economically disadvantaged high school students. It was started and continues to be run by the American Chemical Society and is held at academic and industrial labs throughout the United States. The program allows high school juniors and seniors to perform research in a lab for 8-10 weeks during the summer.

This year Dr. Taraboletti coordinated with ACS project SEED to run its first fully virtual summer camp. Dr. Taraboletti helped oversee 24 students from across the east coast, and worked to develop their science and research, but also in college readiness and life skills. Two UDC undergraduate students, Yasheika Watson and Tasneem Abdus-Shakur, were also awarded a position as SEED Ambassadors during the Virtual Summer Camp, to facilitate guidance and learning.
