UDC Class visit Wilson Center’s Brazil Institute

Students from Dr. Kevin Funk’s “Brazilian Politics and Society” course visited the Wilson Center’s Brazil Institute on September 12, 2019. The Institute’s director, Paulo Sotero, accompanied by associate Anna Prusa (both pictured, center), discussed and answered student questions about U.S.-Brazilian relations, the political and economic agenda of Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, and the current environmental and other challenges – including the spate of recent fires in the Amazon – facing both Brazil as well as the international community. Dr. Kevin Funk is an Assistant Professor of Political Science.
