D.C. History Conference @ UDC November 1-4, 2018

The University of the District of Columbia will host this year’s D.C. History Conference — and we want the UDC community to be part of it. This conference is taking place November 1- 4, 2018, right here on UDC’s Van Ness campus, and all over the city. We have films, we have research presentations, we have interactive work in the amazing UDC jazz archives, we have book talks and walking tours and even a bike tour of D.C.’s 1970s-era kiosk public libraries!

You can see a preliminary program, and register for the conference, here. The registration fee is $30 online, and $35 at the door. UDC students with ID will be able to attend for free, but must register ahead of time. (Please check your email on how to register and myUDC.)

Please peruse the preliminary program and consider offering your students extra credit to attend the conference and write about what they learn. This is the very first time this annual conference is taking place on our campus, so I want to encourage the UDC community to be part of it!

All are invited and welcome to attend. Please contact Dr. Amanda Huron should you have any questions at amanda.huron@udc.edu or 202-274-7244.
