2018 Wye Faculty Seminar
Citizenship in the American and Global Polity: An Interdisciplinary Seminar for College and University Faculty

CAS assistant professor of Biology, Dr. Brandy Huderson has been selected to participate in the American Association of Colleges and Universities’ 2018 Wye Faculty Seminar on Citizenship in the American and Global Polity.  Modeled in the tradition of The Aspen Institute Executive Seminars, the Wye Faculty Seminar endeavors to:

• gather a diverse group of thoughtful scholars in intellectually rigorous roundtable discussions – truly around the table to converse with rather than confront one another;
• explore great texts stretching from ancient to contemporary times, not merely for artistry of language but for the power of ideas on fundamental issues in our society, and;
• translate ideas into action suitable to the challenges of our age.

Dr. Huderson was nominated by Dean Massey.  She is the third CAS faculty member to have been selected.  Previous CAS faculty participants include Dr. Alexander Howe and Dr. Amanda Huron.
