UDC STEM Center Students present their research at the 2017 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS)

ANNUAL BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE FOR MINORITY STUDENTS - Nov 1 - 4, 2017 - ImageFaculty, staff, and students from the UDC Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center for Research and Development will attend the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), where they will join one of the largest academic communities of underrepresented minorities in the nation. The Conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, November 1-4, 2017. Students attending this conference will present their research results and compete for presentation awards, explore graduate programs from around the nation, attend specialized biomedical seminars and workshops, and network with faculty and students from other undergraduate and graduate schools.

During the four-day conference, over 1,800 students from over 350 colleges and universities participate in poster and oral presentations in twelve STEM disciplines. All undergraduate student presentations are judged by panels of experts, and those receiving the highest scores in each STEM discipline will receive an award during the closing banquet.
