Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness
The Mission of the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (OPIE) is to:
- support the University’s commitment to excellence and quality by collaborating with The University of the District of Columbia System’s academic, operational and academic support units to ensure strategic objectives are benchmarked and become operational.
- identify and recommend solutions for the enhancement of educational programs, administrative policies and procedures and educational support services.
OPIE will use data and practical assessment, through working with both academic and business units, to achieve solutions that support student learning and align with institutional strategic goals and accreditation requirements. The office will assist in development of the strategic and tactical planning processes; facilitate policies that ensure data integrity and provide insight into data to inform and enhance decision making. The office will also aid in identifying the institution’s overall internal capacity to achieve strategic objectives set forth by the executive leadership.
