UDC Speech-Language Pathology graduate studentsUDC Speech-Language Pathology graduate students Brittney Ford and Bejani Turley have
been elected to participate in the Children’s National Leadership Education in
Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Fellowship (LEND-CN) for the 2022-2023 term.
The LEND training program prepares interdisciplinary healthcare professionals for the full range
of neurodevelopmental disabilities in kids as well as the new leadership roles they will play in
the evolving healthcare system for kids with special healthcare needs and their families. Bejani
and Brittney have the privilege of being the first SLP graduate students to participate in this
program in UDC history! They are currently participating in weekly didactic meetings led by a
multidisciplinary team of doctors and researchers on staff at Children’s National Hospital. In
addition to didactics, the students also participate in clinical observations and community
advocacy
