UDC Names VPs for Key Functions

Washington, DC - University System of the District of Columbia President Dr. Allen L. Sessoms is pleased to announce the appointments of Vice Presidents for key functions of the organization.

Barbara Jumper, joined the University System in July 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and was elevated to Associate Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate in October 2009. In February 2010, she was appointed to Vice President.  Jumper is responsible for the management of all campus facilities, oversees all capital construction projects, auxiliary services and real estate matters for the University.  Most recently she was instrumental in completing a massive campus improvement/enhancement initiative and securing the lease for the first Community College, CCDC, in the Nation’s Capital. 

Aimee Occhetti was hired to oversee the Office of Government Relations on February 1, 2009.  Dr. Sessoms elevated Ms. Occhetti to Vice President of Government Relations to underscore the importance of her work in creating partnerships with local and federal government entities in order to advance the interests of the University System. Ms. Occhetti has worked as a lobbyist and attorney and for the DC City Council as well as the city Office of Property Management.  She is an alum of UDC’s David A. Clarke School of Law.
