Miss UDC 2010 Pageant Summary


Washington, DC - On Wednesday, April 14, 2010, The Division of Student Affairs, Undergraduate Student Government Association and Office of Student Life and Services hosted the 33rd Annual Miss University of the District of Columbia 2010 Pageant. The pageant consisted of five young ladies, Ms. Licnis V. Alcantara, Ms. Eugenia “Gigi” Hughes, Ms. Emelia Daka, Ms. Lauren Graham and Ms. Joanna Preston. Hosts were Mr. David Gaston and Mr. Daniel Ephrem. Program Participants included Mrs. Krislynn Perry (Class of 2011), UDC Dance Troupe, UDC Jazz Trio and Mr. B. Jackson Caesar (Class of 2010). Miss UDC 2009, Nelisa Ballosingh and Court (Ms. Tranesha Christie and Mrs. DaVon Wright-Owens) also participated in program. Eight former campus queens, including Ms. DC Teachers College 1976, were honored during pageant. The 2010 Court includes: Ms. Joanna Preston, Miss UDC 2010, Ms. Emelia Daka, Ms. Firebird 2010, and Ms. Eugenia “Gigi” Hughes, Miss Homecoming 2010.
