Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Surprises UDC Students as mtvU “Stand In” Professor

Africa’s First Elected Female Head of State Guest-Teaches “Social Stratification, Power and Inequality” Course for Emmy-Nominated mtvU Series

 

            Washington, DC – The following photos were taken during the October 19 visit by her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, president of Liberia, to the University of the District of Columbia.  President Sirleaf presided over “Social Stratification, Power and Inequality,”     a sociology class offered at UDC.  President Johnson Sirleaf’s visit to UDC was arranged by mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, as part of their “Stand In” program which will premiere on mtvU.com November 5th at 7am ET and follow on mtvU the same day at noon.
