Ms. Kimberly Pennamon - Associate Vice President of Student Affairs
Kimberly Pennamon has a diverse professional background that has afforded her the opportunity to view the educational arena from many perspectives to include management and administration, counseling services, testing services, health education, career services, admissions and orientation, instruction, faculty affairs, and curriculum. She has worked with middle school, high school, traditional and non-traditional learners, and adult learners.
During a span of almost 18 years, she has worked in private and public
institutions and organizations in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida before working at the University of the District of Columbia. She has served as a Director of Counseling and Testing Services, Adjunct Faculty (Psychology, First-Year Experience and Critical Thinking courses), Therapeutic Counselor for adolescent clients with emotional and behavioral disorders, Program Coordinator of Upward Bound (TRIO), Director of Regional Medical Campus Admissions, Learning Support Counselor, and Drop-Out / Outreach Counselor for Educational Talent Search (TRIO), Director of Clinical Faculty Affairs, Medical Curriculum Coordinator, and Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning Coordinator.
She is an alumni of Hampton University and Clark Atlanta University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Measurement respectively. She has completed all coursework except for the dissertation towards a doctorate in Educational Leadership.
