STEM Center for Research and Development
The STEM Research and Training Center serves as a focal point for innovative ideas and activities in the STEM disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, computer science, environmental science and mathematics). Established in 2004 with the awarding of a National Science Foundation Grant, the Center is designed to improve undergraduate student competencies in science, mathematics, and engineering; to increase research involvement and proficiency of students in STEM disciplines; and to increase retention and graduation rates of STEM students at the University of the District of Columbia.
