Student-Centered Programs

First Year Experience | Urban Scholars Academy | Freshmen Orientation Course | Student Success Boot Camp | Early Alert Program | Smart Thinking | Phi Eta Sigma

The Office of Academic Advising and Retention coordinates a multitude of enrichment programs to guide students through their collegiate experience.

Through our First Year Experience programs, we cater to our transitioning first year students with opportunities like the Urban Scholars Academy and the Freshman Orientation course.

Students at any point in their undergraduate career can develop and refine skills necessary for academic and personal success by attending a Student Success Boot Camp workshop.

The office also provides support for students who are having academic difficulty through the Early Alert Program and Smart Thinking online tutoring program as well as students who excel through Phi Eta Sigma national honor society.

Feel free to browse each page listed to see if any of these programs can help you continue in your success here at the University of the District of Columbia.
