"Knowledge, Competencies and Skills in Engineering Education"

The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is pleased to invite Engineering and Engineering Technology educators, students  and representatives of industry and government  interested in engineering education to the 2013-ASEE Mid Atlantic Conference.

Established by abolitionist Myrtilla Miner in 1851, the University of DC offers Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's Degrees and a host of workplace development services designed to create opportunities for students’ success. The University is comprised of a Community College, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, School of Business and Public Administration, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences, and the David A. Clarke School of Law.

The ASEE Mid-Atlantic Conference ( is dedicated to all disciplines of engineering education. The main focus will be on fostering the exchange of ideas, enhancing teaching methods and curriculum, and providing networking opportunities for engineering, engineering technology educators, students and industry, government representatives interested in engineering education.

The conference will conduct workshops of current interest and technical sessions for paper presentations. An award will be given to the best paper. The guest programs will include a tour at National Mall, National Zoo, monuments and museums.
