UDC Scholarships




The Office of the President of the University of the District of Columbia announces the President’s Scholarship Award Program. The University of the District of Columbia is the only Public Institution of Higher Education in Washington, D.C. The University has a proud historic past that has paved the way for successful leaders throughout the Washington metropolitan area and the nation. AWARD: The program awards full scholarships to exceptional current-year high school graduates with grade point averages (GPA) of 3.5 or higher and a minimum 1800 SAT (or ACT equivalent). Scholarship awards will cover the cost of tuition, fees and books for four consecutive years. The maximum scholarship amount for books is $700 a semester.

ELIGIBILITY: Recipients must intend to enroll in a full-time course of study at the University of the District of Columbia for the fall and spring semesters of each year and must maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA each semester of enrollment.

APPLICATION: A personal statement, a 300-500 word essay, an unofficial transcript, and three (3) letters of recommendation (from a principal or counselor, teacher, clergy or community leader) should be submitted with the application on or before MARCH 1 (if this date falls on a non workday, the next business day applies) to:

An official transcript, with date of graduation, is due by JUNE 30.
