Dr. Lily R. Liang

Research Interests: Dr Liang’s research interests include but are not limited to: data mining, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition and digital image processing. In the past several years, she has been focusing on developing and applying algorithms in the biomedical field. Dr. Liang collaborates with researchers in computer science, biology, medicine and nutrition, both at UDC and at other institutions, such as GeorgeTown University and Prairie View A&M University. With her collaborators and her students, Dr. Liang has successfully built research teams and made publications on prestigious journals. So far, Dr. Liang has supervised and mentored 14 graduate and undergraduate students, including minority and international students, during her past four years at UDC. Many of these students are now either in graduate school or have been offered employment immediately upon graduation.
