Online Learning Certifications for Faculty
Faculty at UDC have multiple opportunities to be engaged in Online Learning. RAIL offers 5 Online Course Development programs for faculty to build capacity in Online Education. In addition to assisting faculty with establishing successful online and hybrid course offerings, our core programs also provide faculty with a range of flexible professional development enhancement trainings.
How Do I Get Started?
- If you are a faculty member who is new to teaching online courses who is interested in building and creating new online courses, you will need to either complete our Online Learning Academy (OLA) or Track III: Accelerated Online Learning Academy.
- If you are a faculty member who is interested in teaching a section of an approved course, you should take time to learn more about our Track II: Online Teaching Express. As this accelerated option will allow you to gain the basic skills necessary to teach online. (Please note: This certification does not offer an opportunity to build new online courses).
- If you are a faculty member who just wants to learn more about online learning the eLearning Scholars Institute is a great way for you to learn more.
- If you are a new faculty member who came to the university with prior online teaching experience as well as documented certification experience, then our Online Competencies Assessment is for you!
