Dr. Cristi Ford Receives “Best-in-Track” Award at 2013 International Conference on Online Learning
Dr. Cristi Ford’s proposal “Three Institutions, Three Approaches, One Goal: Addressing Quality Assurance in Online Learning,” has been selected as a recipient of the “Best-in-Track” award in the Leadership, Values and Society track for the 2013 Annual Sloan Consortium International Conference on Online Learning, November 20-22, 2013 in Orlando, Florida.
The “Best-in-Track” is a special distinction that is being received by only 7 presentations at this annual conference that has on-site attendance of 1,500 and a large volume of high quality proposals being received. Best in Track Awards were given to one proposal in each of the seven tracks. Session that have been awarded “Best-in-Track” presentation will be streamed during the 2013 Annual conference for virtual conference attendance.
Dr. Ford is the Director of the Research Academy for Integrated Learning, RAIL, at the University of the District of Columbia. Through a collaboration with Lone Star College and Florida State University, Dr. Ford s created a presentation that examines quality assurances here at UDC as it compares to the metrics of the two other universities.
She will be receiving her formal award on Thursday, November during the Sloan Awards Luncheon.
