DC Alert Text Message
The DC text notification system allows citizens to receive text messages on any text capable device (i.e., cell phone, computer email, pagers, and fax machines) when an emergency arises. All Citizens can enroll online by identifying the type of device and the associated phone number.
Public Address (PA) systems
All University of the District of Columbia police squad cars are equipped with PA systems that will be used in the event of an emergency to give directives to the UDC community outside of buildings.
UDC email
A mass email describing the emergency along with the action plan will be distributed to all University of the District of Columbia email addresses (only user@udc.edu addresses) in the event of an emergency.
UDC voicemail
All University of the District of Columbia phones with voicemail capabilities will receive a recorded message notifying users of the emergency and the action plan.
