Cost of Attendance
Students may not receive aid in excess of their Cost of Attendance. Students may request an increase in their budget in writing and provide documentation why their education expenses should be increased to the Financial Aid Office and a decision will be rendered via their UDC student portal.
Students may experience a decrease in their student loan or work-study award should they receive grant or scholarship aid to meet their un-met need up to the cost of education.
Please visit the Financial Aid Office for more information on Cost of Attendance and Packaging Aid.
What is the cost of attendance?
The Cost of Attendance (COA) is the amount the University of the District of Columbia estimates that it will cost for you to attend. Cost include: tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. The COA is designed to be a reasonable projection of cost in order to help students and parents estimate expenses. This figure is also used to determine your financial aid and does not reflect what you are expected to pay the University of the District of Columbia as charges will vary from student to student. Please review the tuition and fee schedule to determine your individual tuition and fees.
