Several “Verizon Scholars” gathered Friday to thank representatives of the company

The Verizon and UDC: Partners in Scholarship and Global Leadership Program is a program that promotes high academic achievement, degree completion, post-baccalaureate education, and career development that leads to the success of UDC students through the skills and education they need to achieve their professional dreams and contribute as local and global leaders. Through the program and grant provided by the Verizon Foundation, UDC was able to award seven students merit based scholarships as well as develop numerous opportunities for the students to develop themselves professionally.
