What is New Student Orientation and why should I attend?

New Student Orientation is a program to help prepare you for your transition into or return to the University of the District of Columbia. 

When you attend Orientation, you will be able to:

  • Learn information about key offices and staff members
  • Plan a schedule of classes with an advisor and register for classes
  • Purchase textbooks
  • Discover information about student life and services
  • Tour the campus
