Welcome to the Office of Government Relations

Located in Washington, D.C., the University of the District of Columbia currently serves thousands of students from all across the globe. It is the only public institution of higher education in the District of Columbia, offering dozens of academic, workforce, and professional programs. The University embraces its recognition as the country's only urban land-grant institution and serves the local community through its various outreach and extension initiatives.

To ensure the University is fully utilizing its unique position as the only public institution of higher education in our nation's capital, the University's Office of Government Relations is focused on keeping our local and federal officials informed and engaged, creating new opportunities for University students and faculty, and connecting with local organizations to make certain the institution is serving our communities well.
