UDC-CC - 2012, Darden Restaurants Business Plan Award

Congratulations to UDC-CC Hospitality and Tourism Management Program Team, which won third place in the business  plan contest sponsored by the 2012, Darden  Restaurants Foundation Entrepreneurship Summit.  It was held on March 31, to April 1, 2012 at University of Delaware, Newark. The third place award carries a cash prize of $1,000. In spite of all odds in the challenging contest, our  UDC-CC  two –year Hospitality and Tourism Program team was able to compete against and triumph over teams from longer-established Universities ‘ Hospitality and Tourism Programs.

UDC-CC - 2012, Darden Restaurants Business Plan Award Special accolades to the team members, namely: Shiva Sharma (team leader), Lamyaa Sbai-Tarqi, Maria Garron Barrero, and Jesus Benlizar.  Chimdi Ofor – Nwoko, Dipak Khanal, Carol Samuda, and Colby Brite. Dr. Henry Iroegbu was the team advisor who guided them through the process.
