UDC Students at the National Endowment for the Humanities Event at Smithsonian Museum-Constitution Day

On Monday, September 17, 2012 The Department of Political Science, History and Global Studies participated in two Constitution Day events. Students attended the taping of a program commemorating the 150th anniversary of Emancipation at the Smithsonian Museum of American History, a program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Students on the Van Ness campus gathered to hear excerpts from speeches by Fannie Lou Hamer, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and sections of the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th and 26th Amendments to the Constitution, read by members of the Drama Department.
