Re: Inclement Weather
From: Alan Etter, VP University Relations
In the event of inclement weather that forces the university to alter its hours of operation, we will communicate that information to you in four different ways:
- We will post updates on Facebook, Twitter and the front page of www.udc.edu immediately;
- We will send a blast email to everyone in the system;
- We will update the greeting on the main telephone number 202.274.5000;
- And we will alert local media.
Please note that when you check all these options and there is no message reflecting closure or delayed opening, you must assume that the university and community college are on a regular schedule.
In the event of a weather-related closing, essential personnel are to contact their supervisors.
Please call our office at 202.274.6910 if you have any questions.
As the only urban land-grant institution in the country, the University System of the District of Columbia (www.udc.edu) supports a broad mission of education, research and community service across all member colleges and schools, which include the University of the District of Columbia (David A. Clarke School of Law, College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences, College Arts & Sciences, School of Business and Public Administration and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences) and the Community College of the District of Columbia.
