Efficiency Initiative: New Adjunct/Student Worker Policy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC -As part of the UDC Efficiency and Effectiveness Initiative, the University is establishing a more strategic and efficient use of adjuncts and student workers by first completing a comprehensive analysis of the use and costs of adjuncts and student workers (educational technicians, graduate assistants, research and teaching assistants) and the implementation of a more effective monitoring and approval process in the offices of the deans.  This will not only generate cost-savings, but will encourage full utilization and productivity of faculty and ensure consistency with regard to the factors considered in the decision to hire and compensate adjuncts in all programs.

The UDC Efficiency and Effectiveness Initiative is a University-wide Initiative to drive strategic cross-cutting efficiencies and improve operational effectiveness throughout the University.  Please refer to our Efficiency web pages for further information.
