All IT Systems Unavailable 7/3 Through 7/6 - No Blackboard Access

As part of its capital improvement initiatives, the University will be implementing upgrades to Building 41’s high voltage electricity supply.  These upgrades will take place this upcoming weekend.

All systems reliant upon the University’s IT network infrastructure will be non-functional and inaccessible, except for the UDC.edu website, from Thursday, July 3rd at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, July 6th at noon.  Please be advised that users will NOT be able to access Blackboard though myUDC OR the direct url at udc.blackboard.com

We encourage faculty, staff, and students to plan accordingly during this time.  Faculty and staff, campus-wide, should save your work and shut your computer completely off no later than close of business on July 3rd to ensure there is no loss of work. 

Please be advised of the following while the power is disconnected from the building on July 5th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.:

  1. Elevators will not be working
  2. Temperature inside building will rise (no air-conditioning)
  3. Building will be dark (no lights)
  4. Parking decks Level B and Level B1 will have limited (emergency only) lighting. These areas will be blocked off at close of business on July 3rd.
  5. No access to any portion of Building 41 will be permitted during outage times. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

The previous technical difficulties with myUDC have been resolved.

myUDC Down - 7/1

Please be advised that the myUDC portal is experiencing technical difficulties.  The Office of Information and Technology is aware of the problem and is working to resolve the issue.  Once the system is back up, another notice will be sent.
