Summer Guest Housing Application

The following form should be completed by campus and area visitors (not residential students) to request summer housing with the University of the District of Columbia.

All arrangements will be confirmed through a written agreement between the individual/organization and the University.

Accommodations

Fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment units, accommodating four beds (two per bedroom), private bathroom, full kitchen, common space and ample closet space.  Cable/high speed internet provided.

Available May 25 – August 10, linens not provided. Individual rate is $270/week + a 14.5% DC Housing Accommodations tax.  Minimum 4 week stay.  Please contact housing@udc.edu to inquire about group rates.

Terms and Conditions

Deposit 

A deposit in the amount of one week’s rent plus a $150.00 room deposit per participant must be submitted to secure accommodations. The total remaining balance will be due prior to check-in.

Cancellation

Cancellation without penalty may be made with written notice no less than 15 days prior to the beginning date of occupancy. If written notice is not provided or cancellation is made less than 15 days prior to occupancy, the leaseholder will be responsible for paying one-half (½) the total rental amount. The leaseholder will be responsible for paying the total rental amount as stated in the lease agreement if the cancellation is made upon arrival, or after the specified arrival date. Keys must be returned at the time of departure. There is a $50 charge per key for lost and/or unreturned room/suite keys and $75.00 for the front door/entrance key.

Payment

Checks are made payable to the University of the District of Columbia and directed to the attention of the Cashier’s Office for processing.

Arrangements for use of the university parking garage may be arranged by contacting auxiliaryservices@udc.edu.  Please visit www.udc.edu/parking for additional information.

Limitation of Liability: Applicant acknowledges and agrees that the University of the District of Columbia, its officers and its employees will have no liability in the event of any loss, damage or theft of any real property of Applicant or anyone accompanying Applicant. Applicant further acknowledges and agrees that the University of the District of Columbia, its officers and employees will be held harmless from any liability in the event of any bodily harm to Applicant or anyone accompanying Applicant.
