The mission of the Honors Program is to create an intensive learning community that will foster academic excellence, encourage civic action, and inspire the University's top students to become strong leaders on campus and in our community.

Honors Admissions

Honors students will enter the program in one of two ways:

  1. Recruitment by the Honors Program Committee
  2. Applying for admission to the Program

To be considered for the program, students must have a high school or transfer GPA of 3.5 or higher. All eligible freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are invited to apply for admission. 

Additionally, before officially entering Honors, all students must complete an interview with an Honors faculty member and provide a writing sample.
