The mission of the Honors Program is to create an intensive learning community that will foster academic excellence, encourage civic action, and inspire the University's top students to become strong leaders on campus and in our community.
Tuesday, October 7: Honors Speaker Series, 5:30 – 7:00 PM, Bldg. 41, A-03 Guest Speaker: Dean Shelley Broderick, David A. Clarke School of Law: Fighting for Equal Justice: Some Lessons from the Trenches
Honors students will enter the program in one of two ways:
- Recruitment by the Honors Program Committee
- Applying for admission to the Program
To be considered for the program, students must have a high school or transfer GPA of 3.5 or higher. Due to the Program’s additional course load, only Freshmen and Sophomores will be considered for admittance.
Additionally, before officially entering Honors, all students must complete an interview with an Honors faculty member and provide a writing sample.
