March 4, 2010 - The First Annual UDC Research Mini-Symposium was held. The event featured 13 talks and three posters presented by faculty and graduate students across the University. Read more in our News Archives.

The next research showcase on campus is the Undergraduate Research Day on April 9th, 2010 in the Windows Lounge. Abstracts are due by March 30, 2010.

November 7, 2009 - Mr. Rommel Anthony Benites Palomino, second-year masters' student at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, presented his first publication at 11th International Conference on Mathematical and Computational Methods in Science and Engineering (MACMESE'09), on Nov. 7th in Baltimore, MD. November 2009 - Dr. Beverly K. Hartline, Associate Provost for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, launches the HBCU Mid-Atlantic Professional Science Masters Alliance. Read more about the 6th PSM's Biennial Meeting here.

October 2009 - Dr. Beverly K. Hartline, Associate Provost for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, speaks at the 10th anniversary of the HBCU-UP Conference and two UDC students place first.

September 2009 - National Recognition received for MA in Early Childhood Education & MA in Special Education programs.

June 3, 2009 - Dr. Hartline & Francisco Saenz, who entered the Cancer Biology MS program this Fall, joined the Council on Undergraduate Research to discuss how research experiences enable students to maximize their potential, prepare for Graduate Study & pursue careers in science, technology, engineering & mathematics & other fields.
