Awarding and Disbursement of Funds
All financial aid awards are initially made based on a full-time enrollment basis (12+ credit hours). Should the student enroll less-than-full-time, their award will be prorated or reduced by half (6 to 8 credit hours) or three-quarter-time (9 to 11 credit hours) from the original full-time award amount. Students are encouraged to review their my.udc.edu student portal to check their aid award against balance due to ensure they have enough funds to pay all expenses and avoid being dropped for non-payment.
Once all financial aid requirements have been completed by you and your class attendance has been verified by your instructor(s), a disbursement will be scheduled to your student account. Should there be any balance/credit remaining after all UDC charges are paid, a refund check will be generated within 14 days and mailed to your UDC listed address.
PLEASE REFRAIN FROM CONTACTING STUDENT ACCOUNTS OR FINANCIAL AID REGARDING THE STATUS OF YOUR REFUND AS IT TAKES TIME AWAY FROM PROCESSING YOUR REFUND.
Please note, as the checks are sent from the District's Accounts Payable offices, no student may have their check available for office pick up and NO REFUND CAN BE EXPEDITED FOR ANY REASON.
