February 25, 2008, 2:00-6:00pm; Location TBD, Brother to Brother (2004) "Brings depth and intelligence to black politics and sexuality" – VARIETY. With “Being Black & Gay In America,” a panel discussion. In participation with UDC’s LGBT Support Association
March 14, 2008 UDC Pi Day. Maths on Screen, in association with the Mathematics Department.
Sept. 26-27, 2008 Kidding Around: The Child in Film and Media an Interdisciplinary Conference. Representations of children in today's media and intersect with contextual issues that demand scholarly consideration. Co-produced by the English Department, the History Program and Learning Resources.
