Research Interests: Turbulent Flows; Experimental and Computational Fluid Dynamics; Applied Aerodynamics; and Engineering Mechanics. Pioneered wind-tunnel testing of the Coanda effect that resulted in the development of the NOTAR© helicopter. Dr. Latigo has authored over 20 technical papers and articles and is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE); a Senior Member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics; and currently serves on the Executive Committee of ASEE’s Aerospace Division. Dr. Latigo has supervised half-dozen graduate aeronautical students. His current research interests include renewable energy technology and applications.
