Connie M. Webster, PhDCNE/Professor
Department of Nursing and Allied Health
Research Interests: My research interest and endeavors have focused on elimination of health disparities and access to health care in African American populations. My specific research efforts have been assessment and interventional designs aimed at impacting preventing or decreasing risk factors or potential complications: obesity, diabetes, coronary artery diseases, breast and prostate cancer. In addition, the project for which I am currently funded aims to enhance the research capabilities of new and seasoned faculty (and students) with a focus on health disparities and access to health care. In keeping with the University's land grant mission, my interest and vision is to sustain the efforts of the current research activities through the creation of a "Center of Excellence on Minority Health".
