About Capital Technology Employment Consortium (CTEC)
The Capital Technology Employment Consortium (CTEC) is a unique career lattice, information technology (IT) and telecommunications (TC) training program underwritten by an H1BVisa grant to the D.C. Workforce Investment Council and funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration.
The intent of CTEC is to train American, underemployed and unemployed adult workers to increase their IT and TC skills and replace the need for bringing IT/TC professionals from abroad. CTEC is designed to attract students at all levels of the IT/TC job spectrum. The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Office of Community Outreach and Extension Services (COES) provides CTEC management services as well as specific training under CTEC.
