Hotlines and Emergency Resources

The Center provides emergency services for UDC students as well as the university community.

Emergency services may include on-going counseling, referral to university or community resources, or consultation for faculty and staff facing a crisis situation.  In case of an emergency, staff is available 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday.

Regular daily walk-in hours are Monday from 9:00am to 12:00pm and Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 6:00 PM.  

Staff and faculty may refer students directly to the Center at (202) 274-6000 or may call for consultation in regard to a student for whom they are concerned.

If you are currently experiencing a mental health emergency or are concerned about your own safety or the safety of someone else, please do not delay.  Call 911 for immediate help.


Regular Hours
By Appointment:  Monday through Thursday between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM or Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.  On the first Saturday of the month, we are open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.


Confidentiality
Every student’s sense of privacy is important to us.  For adult students (over 18), we do not release personal information without written consent, except in emergency situations where information is needed to protect health and safety.
