Academic Support

Individualized assistance in the form of tutoring and workshops is available from the Student Support Services department for students who qualify.  Qualifying students are U.S. citizens who either meet income guidelines or are the first in family to attend college.  For more information, call 274-6241 or go to Building 38, Room A05.

Workshops open to all students are offered periodically through the Center to help students succeed in their classes and are particularly suitable for students who are struggling academically.  Topics covered include goal setting, time management, note taking, reading strategies, and test taking approaches.  If interested, call (202) 274-6000 and ask to be added to the wait list for the seminars of interest.
