Mr. Rodney Campfield, the special assistant to the CEO of the Community College of the District of Columbia, is a graduate of UDC himself. He serves as the community college’s liaison to the university, ensuring the coordination of shared system services such as administration, human resources, facilities, and finance and contracting.
Mr. Campfield brings a wealth of experience in both educational administration and teaching in a special education setting. He was the special assistant to UDC’s provost and vice president of academic affairs, and served as an education program specialist in the D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education and a senior compensatory awards specialist for D.C. Public Schools.
Mr. Campfield has experience within schools as well. He was a special education teacher and later the dean of student affairs at Jos-Arz Academy Public Charter School, and served as the student affairs and teacher coordinator at the Chelsea School in Silver Spring, Maryland. He currently mentors 20 inner-city youth at Kidd International, providing rehabilitation and environmental supports for achieving recovery and rehabilitation goals. Mr. Campfield received a master’s degree in administration from Trinity University and bachelor’s degree in economics from UDC. He also graduated from the Computer Learning Center of Washington.
