Department of Environmental SciencesThe Department of Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary unit that serves students interested in studying the environment, water quality and urban sustainability. It provides hands-on training that prepares students for 21st century's careers. The department offers undergraduate degrees in three options - a B.S. degree in Environmental Sciences with a General Option, Water Quality Option or Urban Sustainability Option. The Graduate program offers a Professional Science Master's degree in Water Resource Management. The Environmental Sciences program prepares students for advanced studies or careers in the private and public sectors, as well as the non-profit sector- working in such positions as environmental scientists, water quality specialist, environmental regulator or policy maker, urban designers, hydrologist, environmental planner, green investment planner, environmental ecologist, ecological modeler, environmental chemist, conservation scientist, forester, atmospheric scientist or geoscientist.
