Division of Environmental SciencesThe Division of Environmental Sciences offers undergraduate programs in general environmental sciences, urban sustainability and water quality and a Professional Science Master's graduate degree program in Water Resource Management. The Division provides relevant research as it features three research units, the Agricultural Experiment Station (AES), the Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI) and the World's Rivers Institute (WRI). The Division also incorporates extension/outreach through its Cooperative Extension Service program - Environment and Natural Resources and the Institute of Applied Urban Agriculture. The purpose of the division is to provide an undergraduate and graduate education that will prepare students to understand and meet the environmental and economic challenges associated with growth, global warming, climate change, urban sustainability, environmental degradation, economic pressures and energy production just to name a few. The degree programs are designed to meet the needs of current as well as future demand of workforce development in the field of environmental sciences.
