Message from the Acting Dean

WELCOME to the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the University of the District of Columbia! CAS represents a vibrant and diverse community of educators who share a deep commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of our students. The college has four distinctive divisions: Arts and Humanities; Education, Health, and Social Work; Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Sciences and Mathematics. Our programs offer undergraduate- and graduate degrees, as well as certificate programs for professionals looking to expand their credentials. CAS students collaborate with local activists and work with international scholars and practitioners in their fields to enrich their educational journeys beyond the classroom. Upon graduation, our students embark on various paths, including employment opportunities, graduate- and professional studies, involvement in community initiatives, and entrepreneurship.
